It Takes Time... And There's Still Lots to Learn

I just wanted to show how I've grow over the past ten year... I don't know the exactly date of the older drawing... i didn't date things back then... so I'll just say around 10 year... I know it's was drawn somewhere around the beginning of the 21st century... So, yeah.... these are the same woman, from my story... yes I've been working it since I was little, but I've only seriously started working on it in 2009.

Ahh.. love the big eyes on the older drawing... And all those tattoos! I think I had meanings for all of them... but I don't remember.... But I think I've learned something about shading since then...

Now to explain the title... a lot of people think that when they start draw, especially if they start late in life, that they should have perfect pieces strait off, but it doesn't work that way and they get mad... The thing is you have to learn everything... from proportions, to shading... to detail... and such, it does not happen overnight... it takes years.

I'm still not entirely happy with my newest stuff... I see the flaws in them, but I do get what's in my head out pretty much so I'm not disappointed in them and I know i will get better if I don't stop drawing.
